Reiki is a deeply relaxing treatment using a system of hands on energy healing, with the practitioner accessing and then transferring “Universal Life Force Energy” out through their hands onto the recipient.

What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a system of hands on energy healing, with the practitioner accessing and then transferring “Universal Life Force Energy” out through their hands onto the recipient.
The name Reiki comes from the Japanese word Rei (pronounced Ray) meaning Universal and Ki (pronounced Key) meaning Life Force Energy.
Many cultures believe that life force energy flows through our body, deeply effecting our physical body, mind, and our emotions. These include the Japanese (known as Ki), Chinese (as Chi), Indians (as Prana) and also Egyptians.
Recent research suggests that energy flows through, and extends beyond the physical body, and that disruptions to this flow can correlate with physical, mental and emotional illnesses.
Reiki addresses these imbalances helping to improve and support good health and well being.
Benefits Of Reiki
Recent studies have also cited significant reduction in pain following reiki treatment, including cancer and surgical pain.
Studies have also cited improvement in immune and nervous system functioning and increased mobility in patients with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, lupus and fibromyalgia.
One study showed that surgical patients decreased their use of pain medications, stayed in hospital for shorter periods and reported increased satisfaction with the outcome following pre and post surgery reiki sessions.

Reiki Appointments
Our Reiki Healing sessions are 60 mins duration, with the client fully clothed, lying on the massage table facing upwards.
The practitioner’s hands are placed in a sequence of movements, either on or just above the body.
Sessions can be standalone or can be added to any other massage treatment, including Reflexology.
